KIIS FM’s Jackie O Has Top-Charting Song Pulled From iTunes For Copyright Infringement

After reaching the top of the iTunes charts, KIIS FM host Jackie “O” Henderson’s debut single has been deleted from the music platform due to copyright infringement.

Henderson debuted the song, ‘Honey Money’, on her brekkie radio show with Kyle Sandilands on Tuesday. All proceeds from those who purchased the song on iTunes went to Drought Angels, who provide personalised heartfelt assistance to farming families.

Henderson teamed up with KIIS producer Kian Oliver (who also raps on the track) and producer/writers Ryan and Charlotte from AVALONiA.

The song quickly rose to number one on the iTunes charts. However, the celebrations were somewhat short-lived.

Henderson revealed on-air this morning that the song had to be taken down from iTunes because of the cover art that was uploaded with it – basically her head photoshopped on popstar Iggy Azalea’s body – for which she blamed “Intern Pete”.

“Intern Pete has apparently chosen Iggy Azalea’s body for me to be photoshopped on and that is a copyright infringement, and we now have to take it down until we get new art work,” she told listeners.

“The problem with this is, when you take it down, the people who have bought it, when you reload it they have to re-buy it, and that’s not cool.

“So, when we put it up again it will now be for free so that the people who did buy, it can still have it and anyone else can have it for free.

“This is such a disaster.”
