Hearts & Science (Hearts), the newest media agency in the Omnicom Media Group (OMG) stable, has promoted Luke Hutchinson to chief investment officer.
Hearts sits alongside OMD and PHD in OMG’s portfolio of brands as Omnicom’s data-driven marketing agency.
Hutchinson (feautured image) joined Omnicom in January 2017, as head of trading for m2m where he was responsible for the agency trading product.
Since joining Hutchinson has been a key member of the leadership team and played a key role in the agency’s success.
CEO of Hearts Australia, Jeremy Bolt said: “Luke is one of the best in the business and I am thrilled to announce this well-deserved promotion.
“Luke’s integrity and his pragmatic approach to both client and publisher all the while retaining a strong focus on value and results, as opposed to just pricing is unmatched.”
As chief investment officer, Hutchinson will be based in Sydney but responsible for investment nationally.
Hutchinson will report directly to CEO Jeremy Bolt and work closely with Sydney managing director Wendy Gower and Melbourne managing director Richard Smith.
Hutchinson commented: “Hearts & Science has experienced rapid global growth since it’s US launch 3 years ago and has developed a highly compelling proposition that is resonating with both clients and staff.
“It’s not every day you launch a new agency brand, particularly one as compelling as Hearts!
“We launched officially in April and I am thrilled to be moving into this national role.”
He added: “My remit will be to work closely with our clients and media partners, as well as our talented leadership team, to evolve our audience first, data led investment approach to focus on both business outcomes and value.
“This will require a fresh approach and new processes and I welcome the challenge!
“I look forward to collaborating alongside Jeremy and the team and establishing Hearts successfully in Australia.”
