Gary Ablett Jnr. has signed a multi-year, global ambassadorship and NFT (non-fungible token) deal with Sportemon Go, an all-encompassing platform that is on a mission to become the world’s leader in tokenized, digital sports assets across the virtual, digital and physical world.

As a result of his connection with Pickstar, Gary Ablett Jnr. joins Sportemon Go’s recently announced global cricket ambassador, Adam Gilchrist, among 25+ big names signed to exclusively collaborate on releasing a range of NFT collectible creations.

Ablett’s NFTs, which are expected to be in high demand by avid collectors, will be co-designed and minted by Sportemon Go.

Sportemon Go’s CEO Ricky Jackson said: “It’s an honour to have such a true champion on-board. Together we are going to create and bring to life some of Gary’s most incredible memories, moments and memorabilia.”

“Having played against his father and then watching his spectacular on-the-field career skyrocket, Gary is arguably one of the best AFL players of all time and he is certainly one of my personal favourites,” added Jackson.

Ablett Jnr. said: “I’ve already spent a lot of time thinking and brainstorming ideas to reflect on my last 19 years’ experience of the AFL game. I look forward to jumping into it and creating some amazing NFT drops.”

Pickstar’s Chief Growth Officer Loren Renton said: “He’s an absolute superstar, legend and icon of the game. This is without a doubt one of the most exciting deals I’ve personally been involved with at Pickstar. As a result of the strategic alliance announced in August, Sportemon Go has VIP access to Pickstar’s public and private marketplace with a whopping 60,000 of the world’s current and former professional athletes, icons and celebrities.

Through this relationship, Sportemon Go is able to transform the sport’s digital merchandise boom and revolutionise the sports memorabilia and collectibles industry, globally They are now one of the largest movers in this space.

“NFT collectibles in the sports and entertainment industry, globally, are experiencing an explosive boom,” added Renton. “It’s a land grab for Crypto and NFT businesses looking to line up exclusivity deals with high profile talent.”

“Our sheer talent depth across Australia, UK and USA combined with our world-class booking technology is built to deliver commercial outcomes fast and at scale for companies like Sportemon Go,” explained Renton.
