Pay TV player Foxtel has confirmed it has appointed DDB Sydney as its brand and retail agency.
Speaking to B&T, Foxtel CMO Andy Lark (pictured above) said DDB stood out for its quality of thinking and execution against a tight brief and timeframe.
“Their deep retail experience and scale give us the critical skills we need to bring an industry leading pipeline of innovation and content to even more Australians,” he said.
A DDB spokesperson confirmed the appointment to B&T, but refused to comment any further.
Foxtel rebranded itself over a year ago in an attempt to shore-up its position in Australia’s turbulent media landscape.
DDB joins WiTH Collective, Marcel and Mindshare on Foxtel’s agency roster, after TBWA’s chief for Australia and New Zealand, Paul Bradbury, said the agency was resigning the pay TV provider’s creative account in April.
However, Lark told B&T at the time that TBWA Sydney wasn’t a retained agency in the first place.
