Eventbrite Reduces Fees Down Under, Aussies Save Loads

Self-ticketing platform Eventbrite has announced it will lower its payment processing fees in a win for its Australian customers.

After 16 months in the Australian market, Eventbrite has reduced its payment processing fee from 3.5 per cent to 2 per cent for paid events. The platform will continue to allow users to list free events at no cost.

“With successes like Rainbow Serpent, Beyond the Valley, and Taste of Australia, Eventbrite is seeing strong traction in Australia, and we’re excited to offer more savings to our Australian customers,” said Australian managing director Rachael Neumann (pictured above).

Eventbrite’s payment system boasts a range of perks including a seamless purchase experience, reserved seating capabilities, and easy management for refunds and chargebacks. The company will also continue to support PayPal and provide multiple payment options.

“Eventbrite provides a seamless and reliable ticketing platform for Mardi Gras and our customers,” said Michele Bauer, CEO of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

“The drop in payment processing fees is fantastic news for organisers and buyers alike, and it’s great to see Eventbrite supporting the Australian events market by reducing barriers to entry. Eventbrite is playing a big part in building a secure future for many iconic Australian events including Mardi Gras.”
