Dentsu Nabs CHEP’s David Halter As Chief Of Strategy & Growth, Confirms Brent Kirby’s Departure

Dentsu has announced the appointment of David Halter (main photo) as chief strategy and growth officer and the departure of Brent Kirby who was this morning named Clems Sydney new CEO.

Big changes are happening at dentsu with Kerby departing to pursue other opportunities and Halter arriving with over 20 years of experience.

Kerby, of course, was Sydney MD for dentsu creative which includes BWM Isobar and dentsuMB.

Halter joins from Clemenger Group, where he was chief strategy officer and Sydney managing director of CHE Proximity, partnering with innovative brands including Samsung, IKEA, Danone, NRMA, eBay, and Virgin Australia.

Halter will partner with Tangas and the broader ANZ executive leadership team which recently includes the appointments of Kirsty Muddle, creative CEO and John Riccio, Merkle CEO.

Dentsu ANZ, CEO, Angela Tangas, said: “Brent has been with dentsu for six years and has played an important role in the growth and success of the Sydney market.

Halter will join the dentsu ANZ business at the end of February 2022.
