Global video content creation company brand new media (BNM) has appointed Simon Hopkins as commercial and revenue director, Australia and New Zealand.
In this newly created position, Hopkins, a former senior Fairfax Media executive, will be responsible for driving commercial strategy and revenue from BNM’s portfolio of products including its video content marketing offering and broadcast advertising solutions. Of particular focus will be maximising revenue streams from the company’s expanding lifestyle multi-channel network.
BNM also announced that sales director Peter Moore has been promoted to global partnership director, responsible for creating partnerships with global brands using BNM’s broadcast response offering as a direct channel to the Australian market. He will also help Australian brands with international distribution.
Both appointments signal the rapid expansion of brand new media, which owns, creates and operates digital channels for brands and broadcasters. They follow the hire of ex-Fairfax journalist and publisher Lisa Hudson as head of Lifestyle Channels last month and reflect the company’s commitment to advancing the delivery and development of premium branded video content and advertising solutions in Australia and New Zealand
Simon Joyce, managing director of brand new media, Australia and New Zealand commented: “As BNM continues to advance its end-to-end content marketing offering, we are delighted to have someone of Simon’s caliber and experience on board. Equally, Peter’s knowledge and proven track record has BNM well positioned for a strong 2015.”
Hopkins said: “Video content used to generate brand, financial and audience value is at a tipping point and is one of the most dynamic growth areas within today’s media landscape. The opportunity for brands and publishers is exponential and I am delighted to be joining BNM, a true innovator and leader in the field.”
