Brand New Media Nabs Fairfax Media’s Lifestyle Guru

Brand new media (BNM) has appointed journalist and publisher, Lisa Hudson, as head of Lifestyle Channels to lead its content offering in IPTV channel creation.

Reporting directly into recently appointed Managing Director Simon Joyce, the role will initially focus on the growth of healthyMEtv -Australia’s first IPTV health channel in partnership with Seven West Media and soon to launch on FreeviewPlus.

Formerly with Fairfax Media, Hudson has held many senior roles including CEO and publisher of Fairfax Magazines and general manager of Food and Wine, specialising in the delivery of trusted, quality food and wine content via multiple platforms, including online, print and mobile. She is also a former Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Editor and is on Tourism Australia’s Food and Wine advisory panel.

The company has also revealed that it will launch a major brand funded food IPTV channel in Australia and New Zealand under Hudson’s leadership. With her particular expertise in food alongside BNM’s commitment to producing premium, home-grown video content, there is a unique opportunity to dominate the IPTV lifestyle space.

Hudson will officially commence on Monday 8th September.
