Born Bred Talent Appoints TikToker As Head Of Strategy

Born Bred Talent is ramping up its TikTok offering by appointing TikToker Thomas Cheung (Ricky Chainz) as head of strategy.

Cheung, who has over four million followers on TikTok (@thechainzfamily), will be tasked with helping brands, marketers and agencies develop powerful TikTok campaigns that are geared for success.

With his unique skillset and intimate knowledge of the platform, Cheung is excited to use his experience to help brands navigate and leverage TikTok in a strategic way, starting with two free workshops in Sydney and Melbourne in November.

Cheung commented: “TikTok will become the go-to social media platform for micro video content and brands need to put some focus into the platform now and understand how they can leverage it, otherwise they will be playing catch up throughout 2020.

“These workshops will cover how marketers can use TikTok strategically and leverage it in their influencer marketing campaigns, and also how to actually use the platform, grow a following and create viral and trending content.”

Born Bred Talent founder Clare Winterbourn said the workshops will be actionable and hands on, and there is no one better in the Australian market to bring this information to brands than Cheung, who has grown a following of over 4 million in less than 12 months.

Winterbourn commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Thomas to the Born Bred Talent team and give brands, marketers and agencies the opportunity to tap into his intimate knowledge of the platform.

“We recently worked on the hugely successful Halloween campaign for Fanta that has received over 32 million views on content and 1,650 pieces of user-generated content in 6 days, demonstrating the power of TikTok for Australian brands.”

She added: “TikTok is still a new space and we are finding brands are hesitant to adopt a social media platform they are unfamiliar with, so these workshops are designed to uncover the potential of TikTok, how to use the platform and the opportunities that are available right now.”

The workshops will be presented by Cheung and Winterbourn alongside some of Australia’s top TikTok creators from Born Bred Talent’s robust roster who have worked on campaigns with Sportsgirl, L’Oréal, Sony, Warner Music and Superdry.

The Sydney TikTok workshop is on Monday November 11 at The Commons, and the Melbourne TikTok workshop is on Thursday November 14th at the QV Building in Melbourne.

The workshops are free of charge to attend for all brands, agencies and marketers and will go from 3pm to 5pm, followed by networking and drinks.
