Match Media wins Sunbeam

Independent media agency Match Media has won the sizeable Sunbeam account, which was previously held by Carat, following a competitive pitch process.

From July Match Media will handle all online and offline strategy, media planning and buying, including search and analytics.

John Turnbull, general manager marketing for Sunbeam, said: “Match quickly understood the challenges and articulated the key themes in a way that contemporized Sunbeam, whilst remaining true to the brand.”

Ian Czencz, head of strategy at Match Media, added: “This is an extremely pleasing win.  The team at Match were chomping at the bit to get involved in an iconic brand like Sunbeam.  The passion was evident right throughout this project and the team’s insights and creativity shone through in the response.  We are looking forward to getting stuck in.”

Sunbeam is a division of the publicly listed Australian company GUD Holdingins Limited. Its product portfolio includes coffee and beverages, food preparation, cooking, personal care, blankets and heaters, fans and ironing.
