‘Get off the sugar train’

Torch Media is getting ready to unveil its first advertising campaign for Sydney Trains since securing the On-Train external rights last year.

Using simple colours and bold lettering to stand out on a busy platform, the slogan ‘Get off the sugar train’ by creative agency Devondale will appear as the first campaign featuring Fast Start.

“We are really excited by the level of market interest in this high impact medium,” Kirsty Dollisson TorchMedia GM, said.

“The addition of Sydney Trains enables brands to reach an important segment of commuters across the Eastern Seaboard. Trains externals provide a dominant, unavoidable presence on platform and it’s great to see that the first execution has powerful creative referencing the environment.

“The vast number of commuters that are reached monthly with this medium compares with advertising exposure through mainstream media,” Dollisson added.

“We are capturing a huge audience base of mixed demographics that are travelling to work and school, as well as recreational commuters going out or going shopping.”

The Devondale campaign begins late April and runs through until mid-May. It will be appearing on the externals of selected Sydney Trains.
