ABC’s Family Confidential snags place in top 20

ABC’s Family Confidential snagged a place in the top twenty most watched shows from last night, coming in 15th with 569,000 viewers last night, according to OzTam preliminary ratings.

The inside story of one of Australia’s most famous priests saw 198,000 people tune in from Melbourne, 160,000 from Sydney, 97,000 from Brisbane, 58,000 from Perth and 57,000 from Adelaide, the city of churches.

The ABC network also grabbed five spots within the top twenty last night, pulling the network to third place in the total combined share with a total share of 17.3%, 12.1% of that going to the primary channel, ABC1.

Seven and Nine battled it out again for top place, with Seven eventually taking out the gold for total share with its 33.6% share.

Seven’s My Kitchen Rules helped bring the network to top place as the reality cooking show saw the most number of viewers (1.667 million) tune to last night’s show at 7.30pm.

Nine’s two-hour (7.30-9.40pm) lot of The Block: Fans vs Favourites came in as the second most watched show last night with 1.233 million viewers.

Within the five city metro, Melbourne was the most interested in The Block seeing 436,000 people tune in, where Sydney only saw 367,000.

Nine came in second for total share with 29.6%, 23.6% of that going to its primary channel.

ABC came third and Ten saw fourth place with a total share of 14.4%.

Of that 14.4%, the network saw 9.9% going to its primary station. Ten’s most watched show last night was Ten Eyewitness News which drew in 582,000 and came in just ahead of ABC’s Family Confidential.

SBS came fifth with 5.1%, seeing  4.4% going to its primary station.
