Time Out moves to sole CEO

Time Out Australia’s former joint CEO, Michael Rodrigues, will take full control of the reins as the business’ sole CEO this month.

Further appointments have seen a shakeup to Time Out as Justin Steinlauf joins as account manager, Linn Johannson as event coordinator and Elise Bucholtz’s promotion to brand manager.

The move to sole CEO comes off the back of a number of achievements for Time Out last year such as revenue and readership being up 20%, numerous sell-out events and the integrated MasterCard campaign.

“2013 was a defining year for us as we executed our full product range in Sydney and Melbourne markets, including our Bar and Food Awards series,” Rodrigues said.

“With continued growth projected throughout 2014, my main focus will be on the diversification of our business in the market, developing new revenue streams through content creation and licensing, and launching some exciting new initiatives that we’ll be announcing in the coming months.”

Former fellow joint CEO, Justin Etheridge, has been appointed to the role of deputy managing director at the company’s main shareholder, The Intermedia Group, and continues his involvement in Time Out Australia in the capacity of executive director and co-founder.
