Emirates introduces the World Cup to fans

Emirates gave football fans a taste of the action when it displayed the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy at Dubai Airport.

The trophy was displayed by the airline in the airport’s new Concourse A facility to promote the airline’s sponsorship of the international football competition.

Emirates crew from Brazil, where the World Cup will be staged, met football fans who stopped by to catch a glimpse of the famous trophy.

Boutros Boutros, divisional senior vice president of corporate communications at Emirates, said: “Our sponsorship of the FIFA World Cup allows us to strike a chord with football fans around the world, sharing and supporting their passion for this truly global sport.

“It has been rewarding for us to be able to give football fans and Emirates passengers access to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Winner’s Trophy, thanks to fellow FIFA partner Visa. We continually look for opportunities to bring fans closer to the game they love.”
