Nicole Turley leaves Ikon for Starcom

Ikon's long serving national trading director Nicole Turley has left the media agency for a similar role at Starcom.

Turley, who has 16-years experience in the media industry, joined Ikon nine years ago, and will take up the role of national investment director on March 4 next year.

Starcom MediaVest Group chief operating officer, Chris Nolan, said: "Investment continues to be a core part of our service offering, and off the back of a very solid year, it’s the ideal time for us to appoint a dedicated national investment leader.

“Nicole comes to Starcom with impressive credentials, having established a track record of challenging the market status quo to drive value for her clients and agency, and has built solid respect across the media. We’re delighted to welcome her to our team.”

Starcom has picked up 13 new accounts worth $170m this year in new billings, including Optus, Virgin and Mars.

Turley said: “I’m very excited to be joining one of the great Australian media agencies and am looking forward to working with what is an extremely talented group of people.”
