KIIS 1065’s Kyle & Jackie O’s Haunted House is making a “spooktacular” return ahead of this year’s Royal Easter Show, with listeners invited to join the radio duo on their Haunted House tour in a new hair-raising 8D audio journey. You can listen HERE.

The unique audio experience was designed by ARN’s creative team, and allows listeners at home to immerse themselves, alongside Kyle & Jackie O, into the middle of an eerie room where people and voices magically, and eerily move around them.

Kyle & Jackie O recorded the audio using a specialised microphone and, make no bones about it, it must be listened to with headphones for the full experience.

8D audio uses the principles of binaural recording to trick our brains into thinking that sounds are coming from different places in three-dimensional space.

“Many brands are beginning to look at audio beyond simply an effective advertising channel but as an opportunity to evoke a sensory response from their audience,” said ARN’s head of creative, Michael Dargan.

“This piece of immersive audio does just this, taking its audience on a rollercoaster ride of fear and excitement as they experience the Haunted House alongside Kyle and Jackie O.”

Kyle added, “Usually it’s the freaks inside the haunted house that get all of the praise, but this year it’s the equally terrifying freaks inside the recording studio who have stolen the show. The sound is out of this world!”

This year, visitors will experience a full sensory ride, including creepy scents and other surprises, guaranteed to send pulses racing.

Listen to KIIS 1065 across the day for your chance to win tickets to the Sydney Royal Easter Show, which launches on April 8 and runs until April 19.
