Yahoo Appoints Julia Edwards To NSW Sales Director

Yahoo has announced it has promoted Julia Edwards to NSW sales director.

Since joining Yahoo 18-months ago, Edwards (main photo) has been instrumental in building the commercial success of Yahoo Creative Studios (formerly RYOT Studios) in her role as head of strategic solutions.

She has been behind a number of industry-first campaigns using cutting-edge technology, including an immersive try-before-you-buy experience for BIG W’s Toy Mania, a virtual Santa campaign for Officeworks and bringing to life the Finding Our Heart children’s book for NAIDOC Week.

In her new role as NSW sales director, Edwards will be responsible for leading the Sydney-based sales team and growing strategic partnerships with clients and agencies in the market. She will report to the general manager of sales of ANZ, Rachel Page.

“I’m excited to blend what I’ve learned with Yahoo Creative Studios to help even more  brands connect online-to-offline and commercialise creative ideas.”

Edwards brings to the role over 16 years of experience commercialising global media properties across all platforms, She’s held management roles at a number of publishers including The Guardian, CNN, MCN and Foxtel.

Page added: “Jules takes over the reins from Clare Rudduck who will be leaving Yahoo after twelve stellar years – a lifetime in the media industry years.

“Clare has been an amazing commercial leader and cultural contributor for our business and industry, and we wish her all the future success and happiness she deserves.”
