It’s no surprise the pandemic and resulting lockdowns have made stress and anxiety rife among individuals, communities, and entire industries.

The harsh restrictions which forced everyone to reconsider their careers, as well as their work/life balance and general wellbeing, have left many with lingering mental health struggles, especially as people attempt to return to a semblance of normality.

A 2020 study by Mentally Healthy found the media, marketing and creative industries reported 52 per cent of workers displaying mild to severe anxiety levels, with 44 per cent showing moderate to severe symptoms.

However, the most eye-opening aspect was 24 per cent reporting severe anxiety symptoms, doubling the 11 per cent national average. The study found expectations pressures were a key area of concern.

In response to these troubling statistics, coaching and training organisation, The Coaching Room, has announced a free virtual event, “Free Yourself From Anxiety” to address and target the mental health scourge affecting those in the media, marketing and creative industries.

The event will be hosted by NLP coach, Madeleine Robinson, and will aim to help attendees understand and alleviate anxiety, while preparing for 2022 with a new stress-free mindset.

You can register for the event here.
