Edge has been appointed as Tennis Australia’s content agency following a competitive tender in July.

The appointment is effective immediately and will see Edge work with Tennis Australia on a number of content and social briefs to help get more people playing tennis and enjoying all aspects of the Australian Open.

Edge will also use its long history in branded content across sport, entertainment and consumer goods to develop sponsorship content and ideas for brand partners.

Simon Langley, Edge executive creative director across Melbourne and Sydney said, “It’s very special to work on Australia’s largest global sporting event and on a sport that so many of us love. Tennis Australia has amazing assets to leverage for storytelling, from the players to the fans and partnerships.

“It’s a great opportunity to develop content that drives engagement and builds on the growth that tennis has enjoyed over the last 18 months.”

Britt Wickes, head of event brand marketing at Tennis Australia, said: “We went to market looking for an agency that could help across multiple opportunities within our business.

“Edge demonstrated a smart strategic and creative approach to the briefs that translated well to our world of tennis.

“We’re looking forward to working with the team at Edge and taking our content to the next level.”
