“You’re All Creeps!” Hunky Channel Seven TV Reporter Inundated With Female Admirers (But Are The Comments Kosher?)
A reporter for the Seven Network has apparently got female viewers rushing back to linear television all on account of his chiselled, model-esque good looks.
Young scribe Kristian Gaupset was reporting from the NSW ski resort of Perisher yesterday following blizzards that left large dumps of snow across local ski fields that had tourist operators salivating.
However, it wasn’t Gaupset’s reporting that caught viewers’ attention, rather his smouldering good looks.
Coverage of the bulletin made it on to TikTok and has since been viewed 200,000 times and had 40,000 likes.
One admirer commenting: “Seven News just got a little bit more interesting.”
Another added: “Who is thattttt? I need to start listening to the news.”
“Haven’t watched the news in six years but I think I’m about to break the cycle tonight,” extolled another.
Yet, rather than take the compliments with good grace, Gaupset – who is apparently single – responded with “Y’all creeps!”
According to Gauspet’s LinkedIn profile, he’s been with the network for over 11 years, working across its Sunrise program and prior to that as a news producer.
What’s surely all a bit of fun does, however, ask the question if the roles were reversed and it was a female presenter, would things be taken so flippantly?
It also comes following news overnight that the Australian Olympic swimmer Madeline Groves (pictured below) has quit the team just eight weeks out from the Tokyo Olympics Games citing “misogynistic perverts in sport”.
According to reports on Nine’s newspapers this morning, the 26-year-old Groves – who won two silver medals at the 2016 Rio Games – has decided to hang up the goggles after repeated incidents involving men associated with the sport that she’s described as “creepy”.
In an Instagram post overnight, Groves wrote: “Let this be a lesson to all misogynistic perverts in sport and their boot lickers – You can no longer exploit young women and girls, body shame or medically gaslight them and then expect them to represent you so you can earn your annual bonus. Time’s UP.”

— Maddie Groves (@MaddieGroves_) June 9, 2021
According to Nine’s reporting, Groves had previously complained about a male who’d made her feel uncomfortable while wearing a swimsuit and was later promoted “in their area of employment”.
She also wrote on social media last December about a former coach who’d made a “creepy comment” to her and apologised 15 minutes later, “possibly because the team psych told him to”.
It’s unclear who Groves was pointing a finger at, while the sport’s governing body, Swimming Australia, had attempted to investigate the allegations however “Maddie declined to provide further information,” a spokesperson said.
