Sunday TV Wrap: Nine Wins The Night Despite Cyber Security Attack

Even a ransomware attack couldn’t slow down MAFS, which scored 1,106,000 viewers on Sunday night according to OzTAM’s metro data.

Nine experienced significant disruption to their programming over the weekend – notably including Weekend Today – but was able to broadcast MAFSNine News (920,000 viewers), 60 Minutes (738,000) and Nine News: Late Edition (390,000).

Coming second overall was Seven News with 983,000 viewers.

10’s grand finale of The Amazing Race scored a nice 691,000 views as The Cowboys took out the trophy.

10’s night also had The Sunday Project at 429,000 viewers and 10 News First at 287,000.

For the ABC, Sunday night’s news had 623,000 viewers, followed by Grand Designs New Zealand with 416,000 viewers and Harrow with 398,000.

Insiders had 303,000 viewers and Silent Witness had 271,000.

Over at Seven, the AFL had 334,000 viewers while Weekend Sunrise had 323,000.

Doco Shark Alarm: Year Of Swimming Dangerously, which looked at why 2020 was the worst year in living memory for shark attack fatalities in Australia, had 286,000 viewers and Matt Damon film The Martian had 242,000.

In terms of daily share, the Nine network came out on top overall with 36 per cent, while the Seven network had 12 per cent. Network 10 decisively slid into third place with 19 per cent, followed by the ABC Network at 14 per cent.

SBS had eight per cent of the share.
