Wednesday TV Wrap: Dramatic Dinner Party Clinches The Lead For MAFS

In a classically explosive dinner party, there was trouble for couple Bryce and Booka but not for channel Nine as MAFS clocked 1,017,000 viewers.

As a glimmer of sunlight penetrated Sydney skies yesterday, news coverage dropped from Tuesday’s high. Seven News came out on top (just) with 898,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 894,000. Nine’s A Current Affair came in afterwards with 723,000, according to OzTAM’s metro data.

The ABC then once again took out the middle chunk of programming with a well-performing lineup.

ABC News was number one at 670,000 viewers, followed by Hard Quiz at 640,000, 7.30 at 625,000, Fisk with 515,000 (a slight decrease from last week’s premiere), and finally The Weekly With Charlie Pickering at 510,000.

For Seven, Home And Away had 501,000 viewers while The Chase had 449,000 and Border Security – Australia’s Front Line had 336,000.

Nine’s Hot Seat had 437,000 viewers and medical drama Amazing Grace rose slightly to 429,000.

For 10, The Project had 388,000 viewers, 10 News First had 320,000 and The Cube had 312,000.

In terms of daily share, Nine (all channels) won overall with 33 per cent of the share, followed by Seven with 23 per cent. ABC (all channels) took a decisive third place with 19 per cent, while Network 10 had 15 per cent.

The SBS Network had seven per cent.
