Deviating from a news-heavy night of programming, the ABC premiered Exposed: The Ghost Train Fire, an investigative documentary looking at the infamous – and tragic – fire on Luna Park’s Ghost Train ride in 1979 where six boys and one man were killed.

The program was the first in a three-part series with 376,000 viewers, according to OzTAM metro numbers.

The other notable of the night was Seven’s Good Doctor that struggled to a disappointing 250,000.

MAFS again took top spot with 1,026,000 viewers, while Seven News was once more the best-performing news show at 927,000. Nine News followed at 845,000.

A Current Affair came in at 703,000 while ABC News had 678,000 viewers.

The rest of the ABC’s night had 7.30 at 543,000 viewers and Foreign Correspondent at 447,000.

It may be time for the ICU for Seven’s medical drama The Good Doctor, which just edged its way into the top twenty most-watched shows with a viewership of 250,000.

Last week it had 238,000 viewers and the week before it secured 327,000.

The SBS had seven per cent, heading down the train tracks with Great Australian Railway Journeys, which had 240,000 viewers.
