The Trade Desk Opens Melbourne Office

The Trade Desk has today announced the opening of a new Australian office to support the extraordinary growth the business has seen across Australia and New Zealand.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our office in Melbourne. We have wanted for some time to build a significant presence outside of Sydney and this is our next step on that journey,” said James Bayes [pictured], General Manager, Australia and New Zealand, The Trade Desk.

“We expect this to be a significant year of innovation for The Trade Desk and we are excited to drive the next phase of growth in Australia and New Zealand. We hope this announcement will trigger excitement with our customers about what we can deliver together.

The office opening was announced at The Australian Open, where The Trade Desk hosted a roundtable discussion with brand representatives to talk about opportunities for the industry in 2021.

“In recent years we’ve invested heavily in local engineering, data science, API, support and solutions architects in addition to our business teams to deliver hands on support to our partners from world class talent.

“As data driven marketing becomes mainstream, the addition of our new Melbourne office will bring clients even closer to the product and enable greater responsiveness to their unique business challenges.

“We’re convinced more than ever that brands and agencies need hands on, local support to help them navigate their increasingly complex and unique marketing technology needs,” Bayes said.

Kali Guillas, Lead Director, Client Strategy, who has returned to Australia from Singapore where she has been in an APAC leadership role for the past 4.5 years will join an exceptional local team.

“I’m excited to be part of a talented team who are as passionate about our industry and this opportunity as I am. This depth of talent will ensure that we are well positioned to service our already extensive client base in Victoria and execute our next phase of growth,” Ms. Guillas said. “We are also actively looking to recruit for a number of roles, so the search is underway for the best and brightest talent to join our already impressive team.”

The office will be located in Southbank and will complement the already significant Australian presence based in Sydney.
