As people continue to find new ways to travel, Dettol and Airbnb have announced a new global partnership to give hosts the opportunity to purchase product bundles.

Hosts on Airbnb from Australia and over 20 other countries, including the US, UK, India and Brazil, will now have access to Dettol products offered within two bundles – Turnover Kits for hosts and Welcome Kits for guests – available via their account dashboard.

The kits will include a number of trusted Dettol products including Dettol Instant Hand Sanitizer, Dettol Biodegradable Disinfectant Wipes and Dettol Multi-Purpose Cleaner.

David Rankine, General Manager of RB Health ANZ, owner of the Dettol brand, said: “As Australians find new ways to travel and host securely, we’re proud to partner with Airbnb, coupling their comprehensive hygiene standards with Dettol’s trusted germ protection.”

“At Dettol, we’re dedicated to protecting the moments that matter most to Australians, and for many, that includes travelling – whether it’s to visit family and friends or seeking a new adventure. We want all travellers to feel confident when exploring our beautiful country, thanks to Dettol.”

Dorothy Kilroy, Director of Community at Airbnb, said: “Cleanliness remains top of mind for people looking to travel, and our partnership with Dettol allows us to support hosts by making cleaning products more readily available. The Dettol brand is a household name and the cleaning bundles will help provide more peace of mind to hosts and guests.”

In addition to the Turnover and Welcome kits, hosts also have access to additional information and resources, including Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process, endorsed by Dettol’s global team of scientists and R&D experts. Dettol is further reinforcing important hygiene behaviours through this partnership with best practice hygiene information included within each product bundle, helping hosts meet Airbnb’s cleaning standards.

This partnership with Dettol allows Airbnb to build on its commitment to responsible travel and the well-being of the communities its hosts call home. While hosts are doing their part to support hygienic stays, Airbnb continues to encourage its community to follow the latest local health guidelines and government advice.
