Four Celebrities Required Medical Attention Following Crazy Challenge On 10’s I’m A Celeb

This season of Network 10’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has proven a hit with viewers.

While the show is usually filmed in some exotic international destination, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the producers to get creative while filming locally in Murwillumbah, NSW.

The challenges have been just as crazy, if not crazier, with the latest challenge requiring four celebs to receive medical attention.

In footage provided to news.com.au, the four celebs (Grant Denyer, Jack Vidgen, Travis Varcoe and Pettifleur Berenger) were sent into icy tanks and had to keep swimming to the bottom to pump a lever.

The celebs can be heard crying out in pain, with Denyer yelling: “It hurts. It’s hard to take breath in.”

Even host of the show Julia Morris said: “They’re in proper pain. Grant has actually gone bright red.”

After five minutes in the tank, the celebrities were quickly seen to by medical staff who had to cover them in towels and space blankets, which are typically used to prevent or stop hypothermia.

Vidgen, Denyer, Varcoe and Berenger were taken to a medical tent.

The stunt follows previous complaints by viewers who claimed the show went “too far” after creating a challenge that saw Toni Pearen bitten on the face three times by a snake. Pearen was crying, bleeding and needed to also be seen by medics.
