Converse Unveils ‘Brand New’ Filthy, Dirty Trainers For $126

We’ve long been tarred with the ‘holes in jeans’ fashion trend and now sneaker-maker Converse is jumping in on the raggedy look, unveiling a new set of trainers that appear to look like the wearer has trudged through a knee-deep swamp.

Retailing for a cool $126 online (which is about $35 more than the conventional variety), Converse describes its filthy new look thus: “Classic Chuck features get an aged makeover in the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Smoke Low Top sneaker.

“Skip the break-in period. A dirty wash treatment gives these classic Chucks a vintage look, straight out of the box.”

The shoes – that would arguably give most mums a heart attack – come in either grey or navy and even come with flithy looking laces that makes the wearer look like they’ve been flogging about in them for years rather than that daggy ‘straight out of the box’ look.
