“Busted Big Time!” TV Host In Hot Water As Semi-Naked Colleague Strolls Through Live Cross

As we all know, lockdown’s no fun at all, but it is proving a boon for embarrassing Zoom conference calls and TV reporter blunders.

And now Spanish TV anchor Alfonso Merlos may claim to have produced the best one yet after he was apparently busted cheating with a colleague while doing a live cross.

Merlos was doing a piece to camera on the Spanish TV show Estado de Alarma when a semi-naked woman strolls past in the background.

The problem for Merlos was he’s “supposed” to be dating Spanish Big Brother star Marta López and as eagle-eyed viewers quickly pointed out the woman strolling through Merlos’ apartment in her knickers was NOT López but, instead, a colleague of Merlos’, fellow journalist Alexia Rivas.

Check out the calamity below:

When the scandal broke, lothario Merlos was quickly on the front foot, claiming he and López were no longer dating.

Not so said López who claimed the couple were still together when the video was shot, describing her now former boyfriend’s behaviour as “unpleasant” and “shameful”.

Even a now contrite Merlos appeared to admit to his philandering ways. Such was the nation’s interest in the scandal, Merlos appeared on the chat show The Ana Rosa Show and appeared to issue a sort of half-hearted apology.

“If you think that my attitude has not been correct or that there are things that I have not done well, I have no problem asking for forgiveness, although my goal was not to harm someone else,” the now-infamous pants man pleaded.
