Tuesday TV Wrap: Seven’s MKR Grand Final Fizzles

Seven’s My Kitchen Rules: The Rivals has ended without much of a bang, with a mere 553,000 viewers tuning in, according to OzTAM metro numbers.

It’s only just above the show’s season average, which hovered below the 500K mark. Brisbane siblings Jake & Elle were crowned the winners after a grand final rematch against Hervey Bay couple Dan & Steph.

The two teams first cooked against each other in the 2013 Season 4 Grand Final in which Dan & Steph defeated Jake & Elle to take out the title.

Over at Nine and 10, the best shows of the night were MAFS (1.07m) and Survivor (779,000).

In network share, Nine took the crown across all channels with 30.8 per cent, ABC got silver with 22.8 per cent, Seven snuck in third with 22.2 per cent, 10 did 17.6 per cent and SBS did 6.6 per cent.

Here’s how the rest of the night ran:

Nine

News did 1.19,000, Nine’s COVID-19 special did 1.07, ACA did 886,000, and and Hot Seat did 577,000.

The Project did 614,000, 10 News First did 525,000 and NCIS did 496,000.

Seven

News did 1.2m, The Chase did 636,000,  The Latest: Seven News did 630,00, and a news special did 575,000.

ABC

News did 997,000, 7.30 did 873,000, Foreign Correspondent did 688,00, and Revelation did 577,000.

Primary channel share

Nine did 25.1 per cent, Seven enjoyed 17.2 per cent, ABC did 13.6 per cent, 10 received 3.1 per cent, and SBS did 3.8 per cent.
