Woolies Says “No Refunds” To Overzealous Toilet Paper Shoppers

Woolworths has updated its refunds policies following the excess purchase of goods such as toilet paper, pasta, canned foods and rice.

‘Change of mind’ refunds on these goods will not be from Wednesday until further notice.

“We’re continuing to monitor the situation and we’ll keep you updated in our stores and on our website,” the grocer said in a statement.

Other items ineligible for refunds include baby wipes, cooking oils, flour and disposable gloves.

Rainchecks will also not be available.

The grocer was just last week forced to introduce an unprecedented toilet paper limit, following mass panic buying from consumers amid the coronavirus outbreak.

“It will help shore up stock levels as suppliers ramp up local production and deliveries in response to higher than usual demand,” Woolies said on the decision.
