Atomic 212° Wins Exchange For Change Advertising Account

Australian independent media agency Atomic 212° today announced it has been appointed to the advertising account of Exchange For Change, the not-for-profit organisation that manages container deposit schemes in NSW and the Australian Capital Territory.

In its new role, Atomic 212° is responsible for Exchange For Change’s media strategy, planning and buying.

Exchange For Change was set up in 2017 and now runs the largest litter reduction programs undertaken in NSW and the ACT: the NSW Return and Earn scheme and the ACT Container Deposit Scheme.

Atomic 212° chief digital officer and partner James Dixon said: “Every year, more than 160 million drink containers are littered in NSW alone, damaging our environment and waterways.

“It is a serious issue and we’re honoured to be given the opportunity to work with Exchange For Change to build awareness of the environmental benefit of – and the financial incentive in –returning containers.”

Exchange For Change is a joint venture of beverage companies Asahi Beverages, Carlton & United Breweries, Coca-Cola Amatil, Cooper Brewery and Lion. Together, the five companies have more than 40 years of experience in managing container refund programs in Australia.

The new partnership with Exchange For Change follows client wins and reappointments at Atomic 212° last year, including Bupa Australia, Greater Bank, Spirit of Tasmania, the 2020 Parrtjima: A Festival Of Light, Tourism Northern Territory and the Northern Territory Government.
