Game Show Contestant Can’t Name Greta Thunberg, Hilariously Goes For “Sharon” Instead

We’re not even a week in and already we appear to have an early contender for stupidest TV moment of the year.

The calamity occurred on an episode of the UK gameshow Celebrity Mastermind over the weekend.

As the name suggests, the show stars British celebrities being quizzed on topical questions.

Enter actor Amanda Henderson, 33, who stars in the medical drama Casualty.

Celebrity Mastermind host John Humphries posed the question to Henderson: ‘The 2019 book entitled No-one Is Too Small To Make A Difference is a collection of speeches made by a Swedish climate change activist. What’s her name?’

The answer – so obviously Greta Thunberg – alluded the befuddled Henderson who simply answered with “Sharon”.

Better still, Thunberg herself saw the clip and managed to get a laugh out of it too. The seventeen-year-old activist changing her name to Sharon on her Twitter profile to commemorate the blunder.

Check out the disaster below which has since been viewed more than five million times.
