Tonic Health Media Runs Agency Yoga Sessions To Tackle Stress

Tonic Health Media is running a campaign to help combat high-stress levels and encourage healthy living within media agencies in Sydney and Melbourne.

58 per cent of media agency staff surveyed by Tonic identified that they are concerned about stress and 51 per cent of respondents also identified losing weight as concerns.

In response, Tonic is running free yoga sessions for media agency staff at two locations in Sydney from 15th October until mid-November, with teacher and founder of Divine Flow Yoga, Eliza Hayward.

A similar initiative will also be rolled out in Melbourne in the coming months.

These sessions reinforce Tonic’s commitment to health and wellness within the media and advertising industries, following on from the successful agency sleep workshops and ‘So You Think It’s Good For You’ with Tonic’s Dr Norman Swan.

Tonic Health Media commercial director Jack Mortlock said: “The media industry is well known for high stress levels and demanding work environments.

“These sessions are designed to help us address these issues and give media agency staff a way of coping in these situations.”

He added: “Eliza is the perfect person to deliver these sessions as part of our Healthy Living Program, given her expertise, passion and reputation.”

Hayward is looking forward to working with agency staff again after the popularity and success of the last two year’s sessions.

Hayward said: “It truly is a great way to begin your day; not only it is energising and calming, it helps to relieve stiffness and stagnation in the body.

“I look forward to guiding these sessions and helping progress participant’s practice.”

Tonic expects hundreds of media agency staff to participate in the sessions from over 15 Sydney agencies.

Tonic is including videos on its media agency community Facebook page to offer ongoing encouragement and support.
