WPP AUNZ’s PPR To Be Absorbed Into BCW

WPP AUNZ has merged PPR, one of the oldest PR agencies in Australia and New Zealand, with BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe), a leading global communications agency. The newly merged business, to be called BCW, will be led by Pamela Klioufis, the current managing director of BCW’s Australian business.

“This merger is about giving our clients and our team members best-in-class skills,” said Kieran Moore, CEO WPP AUNZ PR & GR.

“The global thinking, experience, tools and systems of BCW, combined with the unparalleled local ANZ reach of PPR, make for a perfect match. We look forward to our existing clients benefiting from this offer and to attracting new clients and people to BCW.”

Through the merger, BCW now has a presence in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland.

“The new BCW in ANZ is really game changing for clients in the region, giving them access to an unrivalled offering in terms of size, scope and expertise,” said Donna Imperato, Global CEO, BCW.

“With our deep bench of talent and industry-leading services we can deliver really powerful programs that inspire and move people.”

Matt Stafford, BCW’s President, Asia-Pacific, added: “BCW’s Australian operation has already doubled in size over the past 18 months, both in terms of revenue and headcount. And now with this merger, BCW becomes one of the largest PR firms in the country. Our clients are eager to access our expanded offering while our newly combined team can now embrace the regional BCW talent, training and network support.”
