AMI Promotes Lynda Cavalera to New Chair

The Board of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) has appointed Lynda Cavalera as its new Chair.

Cavalera was previously Deputy Chair.

Andrew Thornton was appointed deputy chair, following the completion of his 3 year term as chair.

Commenting on her appointment, Cavalera said: “I am thrilled that the Board has appointed me to the role of Chair of the Australian Marketing Institute.

“I am pleased that Andrew will be the new Deputy Chair to ensure we maintain leadership continuity and stability whilst we continue to transition the AMI in line with our member needs.

“My vision for the AMI is to create a relevant and sustainable association that is valued by its members throughout their career journey, while raising the profile of the marketing profession as a key driver of organisational viability and growth”.

Cavalera is a strategic commercial, creative strategy and marketing professional with over 25 years’ experience across complex organisations in B2B and B2C markets.

First serving on the Victorian State Committee, she has been an active member of the Australian Marketing Institute for most of her career.

Cavalera also been an awards judge and marketing mentor before joining the AMI national board in 2015.
