IPG Mediabrands’ Initiative Appoints Two New Strategy Directors In Melbourne

Initiative, the culturally-driven media agency within IPG Mediabrands, haven announced the appointment of two new strategy directors to Initiative Melbourne.

Hand-picked for the knowledge, skill and strategic impact they apply to their craft; both appointments will be assigned to specific client teams in order to immerse themselves in the brand and sector customer data.  

Sam Enshaw and Mark Jones have both joined Initiative Melbourne, bringing a wealth of experience from international markets.

Prior to joining Initiative, Enshaw worked with IPG Mediabrands driving strategy and communications planning across Asia for Spotify and Fitbit as well as Netflix Malaysia.

Enshaw commented: “I’m excited to be back in Melbourne, and joining Initiative who’ve had so much momentum coming into 2019.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of building on that success with Sam and the team”/

 Jones has worked in the UK and Canada in media-only and integrated agencies.

He has focused on communications planning and strategy across a wide variety of categories driving new product launches, brand identity and acquisition campaigns.

He said: “It’s an exciting time to join the growing team at Initiative, I was attracted to their unique strategic positioning in the Australian market, and look forward to driving this forward”.

Initiative has indicated that more senior strategy talent would be added to the ranks in the coming months.

Initiative Melbourne chief strategy officer Sam Geer said: “People are what makes a business and we are unashamedly looking to attract the best talent in market.

“This is another example of us doing just that”.
