Ovolo Hotels Names New Group Director F&B

Designer hotel collection Ovolo Group today announced the appointment of Vincent Lombino as their new group director food and beverage.

In the role, Lombino will oversee the restaurant and bars across both Ovolo Hotels and micro-hotel concept Mojo Nomad.

Working with the restaurant’s collaborating culinary partners, a team that includes renowned chefs Justin North, Ian Curley and Hetty McKinnon, Lombino be tasked with curating new and innovative menus that reflect Ovolo’s philosophy and offering.

He will also focus on new developments across the hotels, creating new concepts and implementing the highest standard.

Lombino has over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, having worked at organisations globally including Noble House Hotels & Resorts in Seattle, Urban Purveyor Group and Australia’s Event Hospitality Group as group food and beverage director focusing on development and implementation of their food and beverage concepts across QT Hotels and Event Cinemas.

Lombino said of his appointment: “I have been watching their growth for years and I’m very excited to be joining.

“I love the direction Ovolo is moving in and their passion in elevating the Food & Beverage
experiences across the group.

“Each of their restaurants and bars rival the best each city has to offer but with a point
of difference unique to their brands and I can’t wait to take this to the next level”.

Ovolo Group Australia COO Dave Baswal added: “Ovolo is all about disrupting
the status quo and in 2018 we’ve done just that with the launch of five restaurant
concepts across our Australian and Hong Kong hotels.

“Our growth story has included collaborations with a number of creative culinary
partners including acclaimed chefs Matthew Kenney, Justin North, Ian Curley and
Hetty McKinnon which has helped us achieve the high standards we have set for
ourselves.

“The appointment of Vincent will allow us to continue to push the boundaries,
improve on existing concepts, and launch our new ventures at Ovolo The Valley in
Brisbane, and a new opportunity in South Melbourne.

“Watch this space for more to come”.
