Former M&C Saatchi Creative Joins Barefruit Marketing

Ballina-based agency Barefruit Marketing has announced the appointment of Alex Wales as its new creative lead.

Wales is Barefruit’s fourth new international hire in 12 months. He started his career at M&C Saatchi in London working for clients including Lucozade, Jameson Whiskey, NatWest Bank and East Midlands Trains.

Throughout his 10-year career, Wales has worked on many digital campaigns in-house and in-agency for Skrill Payments, Etihad Airways and University of Tasmania. He has also created websites for Australian brands such as GoGet and AIME Mentoring

As a co-founder of Liar the Label, a sustainable clothing brand and blog, Wales has also experienced the highs and lows of starting and owning a fashion business, as well as working with other start-us.

As creative lead, Wales will oversee all traditional and digital creative output produced by Barefruit, the six-year old full-service agency started by Claire and Evan Harding.
