Shock Jock Kyle Admits To Addiction: “I Buried My Face In A Pile Of Cocaine”

Kyle Sandilands has admitted to a five-year-long cocaine addiction in the late 2000s on the eve of his Trial by Kyle premiere.

Speaking on KIIS’ Kyle & Jackie O show this morning, Sandilands said he used the drug as a way of self-medicating his migraines.

The admission came when Jackie O spoke about a recent interview where she told a journo Sandilands faked an illness while the pair were hosting Big Brother in 2008.

To which Sandilands responded: “I could tell everyone why I was really not there.”

“It’d be a big shock.”

“Drug addiction,” Sandilands confessed.

“That was a bad time in my life,” he added.

“Migraines, I was self-medicating on my own illegal narcotics.”

Questioned by Jackie O what motivated his use of cocaine, Sandilands said: “Oh you know, the divorce had happened and life wasn’t great back then so I buried my face into a big pile of cocaine to try and get over it.

“It didn’t work.

“So anyway, I’m better now. Fat as hell. Did you see how skinny I was back then?

“Nevermind that’ll dominate all the newspapers on the eve of my show,” he added.

Cutting back after an ad break, Sandilands added the reason he skipped Big Brother was because he “was too munted to do it.”

Speaking about why he stopped, the shock jock said: “The blood pressure, that’s what could have killed me.

“They said, ‘Listen, your blood pressure is so high continuously that at any stage you could just die.’ I was like, ‘Whatever’.

“I didn’t care if I lived or died. Isn’t that weird?”

Happy to of finally kicked the habit, Sandilands added, “And now I’m on the bench deciding who’s right or wrong tonight,” he said referring to Trial by Kyle.

“How the world changes.”

Last week, Sandilands said he didn’t “give a fuck” if the program works or not before adding that his only motivation was “money and fame”.
