Russell Coight Re-Booted As Ten Plays The Comedy Card For New-Look Sunday Night

Network Ten has today announced an all-new Sunday night line-up premiering on Sunday 5th August. From 7.30pm, Ten’s highly-anticipated third series of Russell Coight’s All Aussie Adventures will return, followed by the new Aussie comedy series Street Smart.

All Aussie Adventures first screened on Network Ten in 2001. Over the course of two series, Russell Coight quickly established himself as an outback icon – while simultaneously destroying large swathes of protected bushland.

Coight (aka Glenn Robbins) said: “Can you believe that it is over 10 years since I was last on TV (unless you count news footage of me leaving court). So strap yourself in for another sun-drenched series of outback adventures – All Aussie style.”

From the co-creators of Here Come The Habibs, Street Smart follows a gang of would-be criminals who despite spectacularly failing each time, approach every heist with blind optimism. It stars cult comedy star Tahir Bilgic and Casey Donovan in her acting debut.

Network Ten’s executive general manager revenue – client & partnerships Rod Prosser said: “We’re excited to be bringing Australians this fantastic line-up every Sunday night. It’s funny, family-friendly and light-hearted. The return of All Aussie Adventures I’m sure will bring nostalgia for older audiences and enjoyment for new audiences.

Street Smart compares to nothing before. Its diverse cast and slapstick humour offers something the whole family can enjoy. This line-up continues our strategy of delivering brand-safe environments through premium, first-run domestic content that appeals to family audiences.”
