Sydney Olympic Park Announces New Marketing & Comms Manager

Sydney Olympic Park Authority has announced the appointment of its new senior manager, marketing and communications, Brett Morgan.

Morgan has almost two decades of experience in marketing and communications roles across sports, tourism and entertainment sectors.

Prior to joining Sydney Olympic Park Authority, he held a senior role at the Australian Football League, where he served as state manager, marketing and media for the AFL NSW/ACT.

Morgan also brings with him years of experience in tourism and entertainment fields, making him an ideal addition to the Authority, which manages the Sydney Olympic Park super lifestyle precinct. Morgan has worked with Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and EMI Music on global entertainment brands like U2, Metallica and Coldplay and helped launch the careers of Australian success stories such as Empire of the Sun, Boy & Bear and Havana Brown.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority CEO, Charles Moore said Morgan’s appointment coincides with an exciting new era in Olympic Park’s ongoing evolution since the ‘best Games ever’.

“Brett’s skills as an innovative marketer make him a great fit for Sydney Olympic Park, as we execute our Master Plan which will deliver a vibrant economy with a growing community of workers, residents and students. I’m confident that Brett’s track record as a brand builder and communicator will see him lead the Authority’s Marketing and Communications team with great gusto and creativity,” said Moore.

Morgan added: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Sydney Olympic Park Authority. Sydney Olympic Park is a truly unique precinct with world-class venues, sports, recreation and education facilities as well as parks and conservation areas that are crucial to the local area and regional Sydney. With so much development planned or in-progress within the Park, it’s a really exciting time to get involved and champion this world leading precinct built on Olympic legacy.”
