AppNexus Selected By Goldbach Digital Services To Power Video Monetisation

AppNexus, the world’s leading independent advertising technology company, announced the company’s Supply Side Platform (SSP) was selected and deployed by Goldbach Digital Services, the expert for successful multi-screen advertising, to help monetize independent publishers’ digital video inventory in the German, Swiss and Austrian markets.

The alliance brings AppNexus’ video marketplace demand together with Goldbach’s premium video publishers to ensure advertisers and marketers reach target audiences across web, app, and IPTV devices in high quality environments.

“Consumers are cutting their cords and replacing linear television with connected devices,” said Eric Hoffert, SVP Video Technology, AppNexus. “Advertisers need technology to easily reach these audiences wherever they like to view content. By partnering with quality video inventory providers like Goldbach, we’re able to provide advertisers greater reach, addressability, and engagement at a fraction of the cost of TV.”

“AppNexus’ open platform and universal video monetization solution allows effortless integration with Goldbach’s data assets and the ability to manage multiple types of ad requests,” said Tino Burkhalter, CTO, Goldbach. “This enables us to more easily address fragmentation challenges for video across devices, CMS solutions, SDKs, and formats to offer uniform monetizaton. We’re able to maximize video revenue for publishers while minimizing operational effort, which we couldn’t find with other platforms.”

Goldbach Digital Services is a Digital Service Hub working for affiliates within the Goldbach Group. Their publishers include the 3+ Television Network, Tamedia, Cinergy, Zattoo, Wilmaa, Discovery Network and more to offer digital monetization solutions for video including episodic TV content. For TV content, platforms supported include Android TV, Microsoft Xbox, mobile apps, and desktop for pre-roll instream ad units. Goldbach monetizes publisher inventory via unique AppNexus video demand and third party bidder partners. AppNexus’ solution for Goldbach helps power the move online for TV broadcasters delivering content across multiple screens.

“This partnership reinforces our commitment to the European markets as AppNexus continues to grow its global video marketplace,” Uli Hegge, VP Strategic Market Development DACH, emphasized. “Partnering with Goldbach is a big win for video buyers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria who are looking to monetize TV audiences on the open internet.”

Goldbach’s inventory is available to media buyers on AppNexus. Formats supported include instream (pre-, mid-, and post-roll) and outstream video for desktop and mobile across VAST and VPAID interface standards. AppNexus’ solution improves user experience by combating latency and enhancing data-driven targeting and relevancy. The joint work for video monetization will be showcased on stage at the Online Marketing Rockstars event in Hamburg, Germany on March 2, in a session called “Creating a Better Video Internet.”
