Cate Blanchett Gets Festive In David Jones’ Christmas Campaign

David Jones has officially launched its Christmas campaign with a new video starring Aussie actress Cate Blanchett.

The campaign, titled ‘How do Australians Christmas?’ showcases several different scenarios of how people around the nation celebrate the festive holiday season.

David Jones’ chief operating officer, David Thomas, said Aussies are known for taking a varied and unique approach to the way they celebrate Christmas.

“Whether it is finding the perfect gift for a loved one, preparing the home for a Christmas feast, curating the perfect outfit for seasonal celebrations or bringing the magic of Christmas alive with engaging activities for your children, David Jones provides endless possibilities for everyone,” he said.

“We pride ourselves on offering the best of the world in one place, and this is never more apparent than during our peak Christmas trading period.”

David Jones’ flagship window display at its Elizabeth Street store in Sydney has also been unveiled to officially launch the Christmas trading period.

Furthermore, the campaign will see a roll out of in-store theatre, including (for the first time) Christmas parades in Brisbane and Wellington, a treasure hunt for children in David Jones’ Bourke Street store, Santa photos, roaming Santa and Christmas fairies in all stores with a toy department, Christmas concerts and pantomimes, Santa PAWtraits, colouring-in competitions, and a newly upgraded Magic Cave in Sydney.

The David Jones staff choir will also be once again performing in David Jones’ Elizabeth Street store in the lead up to Christmas.
