Mountain Dew Release Rather Odd Twerking Cat Ad

In one of the more surreal and oddball ads of 2016, US soft drink manufacturer Mountain Dew has released its newest ad featuring, among other things, a twerking pussy cat.

The ad is for the brand’s Kick Start beverage that appears to be a concoction of lemonade, caffeine and juice and aimed at the youth energy drink market.

The dancing feline follows on from a flotilla of recent cat ads as featured on B&T last Friday.

The spot follows on from Mountain Dew’s efforts at last year’s Super Bowl that featured the rather odd Puppymonkeybaby commercial that was just that – a part puppy, monkey, baby-thing.

In the latest incarnation we see a rather portly chap chug down a can of Kick Start which in turn kicks off a series of twerking from flies, frogs, fish and finally a Miley Cyrus-inspired ginger cat.

However, the campaign has divided drinkers with some claiming it’s yet more genius from the soft drink manufacturer while others have complained it’s simply too weird.
