Starcom Melbourne Promotes Peter Toone To Senior Management

Starcom Melbourne has bolstered its senior management structure, promoting Peter Toone to managing director, Naomi Johnston to general manager, and Penny Shell to head of strategy and solutions.

“These changes not only recognise the outstanding contribution of Peter, Naomi and Penny to our business, but more importantly ensures we are equipped to realise the enormous opportunity that the ever-evolving marketplace presents for our clients,” said SMG Australia CEO Chris Nolan.

“Our clients want deep engagement from our leaders, and through the complementary skills that this group brings, it allows us to further embed our most senior people into our clients’ businesses.

“We believe we have the right combination of talent and experience to help lead our clients through what is an enormously exciting time to be in the advertising industry.”

Toone was previously general manager, Johnston was client service director, and Shell was business director.
