Suppertime Rebrands As Foodora, Launches In Australia

This week, global food delivery company foodora announces its launch in the Australian market. The multinational delivery industry leader acquired Australian food delivery service Suppertime late last year.

“foodora is excited to be joining the food-obsessed Australian market,” says Toon Gyssels, foodora CEO.

On 8 March 2016, Suppertime was officially rebranded to foodora, introducing the foodora brand to Australian consumers in addition to the 10 countries in which it trades under the same name.

foodora partners with premium restaurants, which don‘t typically deliver, to offer customers quick and convenient food delivery through the foodora app. foodora has developed an advanced algorithm to calculate the fastest restaurant-to-customer route, ensuring customers’ food arrives in an average of 30 minutes.

Under the rebrand, foodora has maintained Suppertime’s established restaurant partnerships and delivery teams in Sydney and Melbourne, also announcing its launch into the Brisbane market, set for late March.

“We are looking forward to learning from Suppertime’s extensive experience in the Australian market and its established relationships with exceptional restaurants to deliver consumers great food and excellent service,” said Gyssels.

Currently in negotiations with top restauranteurs to expand the existing restaurant network, foodora has also broadened delivery times, offering lunch and dinner throughout the week and 10am-10pm service over the weekend.

foodora’s quick delivery of premium restaurant food has proven a favourite for the corporate communities overseas, with delivery to your desk becoming increasingly popular.
