Whybin\TBWA Melbourne Grows Senior Management Team

After a heavily awarded year for both creativity and effectiveness in 2014, Whybin\TBWA Group Melbourne is looking to strengthen its position further by making some major promotions within senior management.

Head of the Whybin TBWA Group’s Digital Arts Network, Kimberlee Wells (pictured), has been announced as the agency’s new group managing director. While Mike Napolitano, responsible for running some of the group’s largest accounts, in particular Nissan Australia, has moved into the GM role.

Whybin’s CEO, Andrew Scott says “Kimberlee has the perfect leadership qualities for any modern agency. She’s a wonderfully strategic planner with a background in data, direct and digital and is fiercely passionate about great creative ideas. If you look at the most powerful work we’ve produced for our clients over the past three years, it’s largely been in the non-traditional space. She also has a very clear vision for the agency and our future growth plans.  It made sense we leverage all of this focus by making Kimberlee our Group MD.”

Scott says of Napolitano: “Mike’s been an amazing burst of energy in the agency. He’s helped us produce award-winning campaigns for Nissan year-on-year since he arrived. He’s a genuine, hard working guy. Clients love him, our young suits love learning from him. His GM role is an ideal fit for the training and development programmes we’re running both in Australia and overseas later this year.”

These new appointments follow a series of high-profile hires and moves last year. Most notably; Ricci Meldrum’s arrival to head up the ANZ business across the Asia-Pacific region; strategic planner Kees Kalk arriving from TBWA Amsterdam; and planner Jacqueline Wang returning to the agency as Planning Director.
