Huckleberry Agency wins Carman’s, Appoints Business Development Director

Huckleberry, Dentsu Aegis Network’s full service digital creative and media agency, has secured the media and digital media business for Carman’s Kitchen.

The agency is charged with elevating awareness of the brand and capitalising on positive momentum and growth the brand has enjoyed in recent years amongst a growing base of loyal consumers.  In the coming months, Huckleberry’s activity will involve supporting the launch of new products to market and building a greater media presence for the brand.

Sue Scott, marketing manager of Carman’s Kitchen said: “As an entrepreneurial brand with humble beginnings, much of the growth has come from sampling and word of mouth around the delicious product range.  As our business matures, we have sought Huckleberry to assist us in adding a strategic media support to our marketing mix, and I am confident that this will have a positive effect on our business.”

“Huckleberry impressed us with their knowledge of our industry and their sound understanding of our target audience.  Having worked with the agency in the past, I know that their credentials in the FMCG space are strong and always based in strategic consumer insight.”

This month, Huckleberry also welcomed Stephen Marovich to the role of Business Development Director.  In this newly created role, Stephen will drive the business’ growth off the back of an already successful start to 2014 which has also seen the agency win clients such as Mahercorp and Palace Cinemas.

Marovich said: “After looking closely at Huckleberry’s full service offering, meeting the team, and particularly given its existing digital pedigree coupled with award winning creative capability, jumping on board with Huckleberry was a bit of a no-brainer for me.  Huckleberry’s model offers plenty of opportunity for business development and ongoing partner engagement across online, offline and media.”

Huckleberry managing director Melissa Roberts said: “Carman’s is an iconic Aussie brand and we really relate to its entrepreneurial spirit and innovative attitude.  We look forward to developing some great media solutions for them and making a real difference in the next evolution of their business.”

“We are pleased to welcome Steve so that we can continue the great momentum we have at the moment, attracting great clients such as Carman’s to our business.”
