If eBay Were A Country

Multitasking businesswoman at work

The president of Apple earns $140 Million more than Barack Obama – yeah, we were surprised too.

It’s the age of the internet juggernaut and Brisbane digital marketing agency Reload Media has released an infographic of some unbelievable stats to prove it.

The infographic ‘If eBay were a country’ challenges our common way of thinking by matching the revenue of the top ten internet-based businesses with the revenue of countries around the world.

The infographic compares the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the export revenue and the GDP Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) – don’t worry if we’ve lost you, the infographic aims to simplify.

Amazon comes out on top with revenue of $74.45 Billion Dollars -that’s right- Amazon peddles books like Cuba peddles cigars.

Behind Amazon is Google, matching revenue of Colombia at $59.82 Billion while eBay has $16.05 Billion comparable to Morocco.

If that’s not enough to knock your socks off- how about if Facebook were a country?

The country of Facebook makes up 1/6th of the world’s population of at least seven billion people where one Facebooker employee is worth 23 Americans.

For now, we’ll let the infographic explain the rest.
