“Hot & Cheesy!” Pizza Hut Unveils Hideous Pepperoni Pizza Blanket

Pizza Hut is the latest of the fast food chains to move into the comfy accessories market, revealing a slightly hideous-looking weighted blanket shaped like one of its famed pepperoni pizzas.

The cheesy duvet is priced at $US150 (A$206) and sadly it doesn’t appear they’re available to Aussie pizza fans with no sense of style.

Pizza Hut partnered with Gravity Blanket, one of the biggest weighted-blanket brands, to design the item, and claims it’s “almost as warm and toasty as the legendary pizza itself”.

The blanket measures 163-centimetres in length which makes it slightly larger than your typical queen-size.

It has a micro-fleece duvet cover, which Pizza Hut adds “mimics the unbeatable feeling of indulging in an Original Pan Pizza”.

Even more miraculously, it’s claimed the meaty blanket can help reduce anxiety and is “like a hug for your body”.

The company added that the blanket is completely machine washable before clarifying unlike “Pizza Hut pizza is not machine washable”.

And the new Pizza Hut blanket appears to be part of a growing trend amongst the fast food chains.

As B&T reported only last week, American fast food chain Arby’s just released a very comfy looking pillow for your head that comes in the shape of a roast turkey.

Retailing for $US59.95 (A$82.40), Arby’s described the poultry headpiece as “the best turkey sleep of your life”.

Meanwhile, back in September, McDonald’s in the US unveiled a three-foot long snuggle pillow in the shape of one of its famed greasy chicken nuggets. Check out B&T’s original reporting here.
